Darts is a fun game to play and the magnetic version is a suitable starting point for youngsters aged between 3 and 8. A magnetic dart board works with darts that have permanent magnets on them that are attracted to the magnets on the dartboard.

This is different to how traditional dartboards work where the darts have points on them that stick into the board. A magnetic darts set does not include sharp or heavy flying objects, like in steel tip and soft tip darts, but it still has the basic fundamentals of the game so the competitive and arithmetic aspects remain in play.

Easy Installation

A magnetic dartboard is easy to set up, you just need a suitable area with enough open space, whilst the height of the board can be altered for smaller children. The height from the floor to the centre of the dartboard (known as the bullseye) is 5 feet 8 inches (1.73m) in a traditional game of darts, but it is more relaxed with a magnetic board and it is up to you how high you position the board.

To play magnetic darts it does not require you to drill holes into your walls to hang up a board, with a magnetic dartboard it can simply be mounted to wherever you see fit. Games for Children

All the usual darts games can be played on a magnetic dartboard, but of course depending on the age and capabilities of the children playing, these rules can be adapted. Some younger children may just want to throw the darts and get used to them, whilst the Mission Magnetic Mayhem is a great option for introducing simpler games into their darts play. A more advanced game to try out for children is ‘Around The Clock.’ This is a popular darts game and can be played individually or in a large group and is a fun game for all levels of ability to play.
